When you need pizza fast, this yoghurt pizza dough will deliver time and time again.

It is made with four ingredients you already have in your kitchen: self raising flour, Greek yoghurt, salt, and a drizzle of olive oil.

Yogurt Pizza Dough

Making the yoghurt pizza dough takes less than 10 minutes, no waiting around for dough to rise and no planning ahead is required. Spread the dough with a delicious homemade tomato sauce, add a few toppings and cheese of your choice and you can hit the spot in almost no time.

Yogurt Pizza Dough

The texture won’t match traditional yeasted pizza dough. It’s not that stretchy or chewy pizza base you’d get from a pizzeria or a homemade yeasted dough. Instead, it’s more like a flatbread base with a tender texture. But when you’re craving homemade pizza on a weeknight or right now, this yoghurt pizza dough is a perfect alternative. I also feel it will always be better than a store bought  frozen pizza base that usually have some ingredients in it that you don’t quite know what they are.

This recipe will yield about 2 medium pizzas of around 25cm or 6 small pizzas. Try to roll out the dough as thin as possible and place on the baking tray before adding the toppings. If you want the crust to be just a bit crispier you could bake the base for 5 minutes before adding the sauce and toppings. The dough bakes quickly at a high temperature and is suitable for the oven or a small pizza oven.
