Festive and decadently indulgent, this Amarula Latte is more than just a coffee, it’s also a dessert in a glass, perfect for celebrating special moments this festive season or treating yourself to a little luxury.
A golden layer of salted caramel as the base provides a sweet and slightly salty contrast to what comes next, a generous splash (or two) of creamy Amarula. A shot of bold and intense espresso follows, the Amarula turning it into a milky coffee latte. Finally, it’s all crowned with a cloud of whipped cream and a dusting of cacao powder. Whether you’re enjoying it after dinner or as an afternoon pick-me-up, this Amarula Latte is the ultimate festive indulgence.
You can replace the Amarula with any creamy liqueur of your choice, Baileys Irish Cream will work a treat, Kahlua will add more coffee flavour or head into the direction of something citrus such as Cointreau. And of course a decaf espresso is just as suitable if you are having it as an evening sweet treat.
